Sea Kayaking specialists
Adventurous Experiences are an Adventure Sports Centre specialising in Sea Kayaking. Our annual Isle of Man Sea Kayak Symposium in September makes full use of the local tidal races and overfalls - attracting kayakers from all over the world, and is a sister event to the Anglesey Sea Kayak Symposium hosted by Nigel Dennis.
We facilitate sustainable quality outdoor education through adventurous experiences on the Isle of Man. We offer sea kayak trips, tuition, evening paddles and overnight camps to suit individual or larger group needs. We cater for absolute beginners as well as those with experience. Visit secret places only accessible by small craft, gaze at the spectacular cliffs, explore the colourful marine caves and observe the seals, porpoises and wildlife unobtrusively whilst looking out for Basking Sharks feeding on route! Allow the view from a kayak to give you a new perspective on life.
The emphasis is on a quality service experienced using the finest equipment and delivered by enthusiastic, qualified instructors. In keeping with our philosophy of high quality, coaching ratios are a maximum of 4 students to each instructor, ensuring that all gain the most from their time with us. This small ratio means we are able to deliver our key service areas of safety, fun and learning.
Corporate Events
Due to the positive elements, particularly the aspects of gaining confidence and team building, inherent in how we run our activities, our experiences are widely used for Corporate Events. Corporate services we offer can be structured as staff rewards and social events, or Corporate Training and Leadership days. We offer exciting, challenging and thought provoking experiences.
Our unique outdoor development training programmes are designed specifically to meet the brief of the client. Ranging from one to three days, the emphasis on problem solving and solution generation ensures that key competencies of managing and leading a work group whilst dealing with adversity, are regularly reviewed and evaluated. These give unparalleled experiences to work groups, through shared experiences, building trust and long term working relationships, nurturing leadership and communication; increasingly effective at integrating new staff and solving issues within a existing team.

We also design holiday packages to suit your family or group, including luxury local B&B or Hotel accommodation and a choice of adventurous experiences to get the most from your stay on the Island. We are a British Canoe Union approved, and Sea Kayaking UK, Eureka and Duke of Edinburgh’s Award affiliated Expedition Centre.
We organise and run the Isle of Man Adventure Week, an annual outdoor festival in June, including the Isle of Man Kayak Fishing Competition and the Isle of Man Adventure Race. These events are supported by the Isle of Man Department of Tourism and Leisure.
