The 2007 Youth Scholarship Expedition team was made up of
students from Ramsey Grammar High School
and
Queen Elizabeth II High School. The group trained hard on their
skills, (particularly sea kayaking) forming an efficient team.
They also worked towards personal performance awards. Another part
of the challenge for the group was raising money towards their
travel costs.
Following a very successful circumnavigation of the Isle of Man
at Easter, the team spent three weeks on expedition in July and
August (self sufficient and predominantly wild camping) completing
an 8 day remote sea kayak expedition around Cape Scott, a 4 day
mountain hiking expedition in Strathcona National Park, and a 4 day
residential on Orcas Island.

Adventurous Experiences are proud to be working with such
keen and talented young people, and wish them all the best in their
future careers.
Congratulations to Sam
Murphy, who upon completion of this expedition, joined
Adventurous Experiences in the permanent position as a Coach.
