Staff Profile - Keirron Tastagh sea kayaking off PeelHe has paddled solo, totally unsupported, from Anglesey to the Isle of Man (the length students will go to just to save the ferry fare for a weekend at home).  He is the youngest person to make the open crossing of 60 land miles, the second time through the night, where sea fog pushed his navigational skills to their max (entertaining video footage does exist of the delirious state of mind this can cause).

Staff Profile - Keirron Tastagh stern squirt at Penrhyn MawrKeirron has coached kayaking in Scotland, Norway, Canada, United States, Spain, Portugal, Israel and Finland.

He has led groups on extended expeditions in sea kayaks, canoes and mountain walking around Vancouver Island, Norway, Ontario, North Wales and the Isle of Man!

Keirron during 'Island Lives' promotional shoot - abseilingKeirron is very passionate about running a top adventure business in the Isle of Man plus organising the annual Isle of Man Adventure Week in June, and the Isle of Man Sea Kayak Symposium in September. Keirron firmly believes in using high quality kit and strives to give as low a student / coach ratio as possible (that way everyone gets shouted at an equal amount!).  He is easily impressed by clients that bring along cake (especially home made delicacies) and hot chocolate on winter trips.

staff profile - Keirron Vancouver Record Pink TritonIn May 2007 Keirron teamed up with Jeff Norville (US) and circumnavigated Vancouver Island in a Sea Kayaking UK Triton double kayak. They completed the 700 mile journey in just 19 and a half days (the previous record was then 28 days in a single kayak, 26 days in a double). Keirron and Jeff also raised over £1000 for Breast Cancer Awareness in the process, a theme provoked by close friend Ginny Callahan and her recent battle with the cancer. See Articles on the trip.

In 2011 Keirron Tastagh and team mates Sam Murphy and one other will set off on an extensive scientific expedition round the Aleautian Isles, off the Alaskan Pininsular.

Adventurous Experiences coaches are highly trained, motivated and qualified to run the activities we offer. All staff hold national governing body coaching awards, have certified First Aid training, complete continuous staff development and personal skills including the VHF radio course with Coastguard personnel, have the full support of Adventurous Experiences and have the customer as their primary focus.
