Youth Scholarship
Our ongoing Youth Scholarship -
Development and Leadership Program, provides scholarships
(including 18 months of vigorous training, throughout the winter as
well as the summer months) culminating in the team of Manx students
partaking in an overseas expedition.

It is also a focal point of
our long term strategy to raise the level of outdoor
skills and safety on the Island.
Places are offered to Year 12 pupils from
the Island's Secondary Schools, for those who show immense
enthusiasm and have the dedication to complete the comprehensive
training in; Sea Kayaking, Mountain Walking, Coasteering, Rock
Climbing, Navigation, Teamwork and Expedition Planning.
Previous expedition members have also used
the trip and its training to fulfill their Duke of Edinburgh's
Gold Award, and as a springboard into a career in Outdoor
Education.

Adventurous Experiences offered places to all year 12
students on the Isle of Man, in January 2011.
The interest has been exceptional!
This will be the 07th program we have been involved
in, (the 5th we have delivered) and its very exciting to be part of
this positive life changing process.
We accepted 29 students onto the present Youth Scholarship
Program, with applicants from four of the six schools.
Currently 9 students continue their committment to the development
& leadership program.
