Vancouver Island 2007 Expedition

The 2007 Youth Scholarship expedition team was made up of students from Ramsey Grammar High School and Queen Elizabeth II High School. Youth Scholarship - Sea Kayak training on the Isle of ManThe group trained hard on their skills, (particularly sea kayaking) forming a tightly knit team. They also worked towards personal performance awards. Another part of the challenge for the group was raising money towards their travel costs.

Following a very successful circumnavigation of the Isle of Man at Easter, the team spent three weeks on expedition (self sufficient and predominantly wild camping) completing an 8 day remote sea kayak expedition around Cape Scott, a 4 day mountain hiking expedition in Strathcona National Park, and a 4 day residential on Orcas Island.
