Sea Kayak Trips
Spectacular views and wildlife.
A typical sea kayak trip could be:
Starting at Peel Castle we journey south beneath the towering
cliffs, admiring the vivid rock formations and exploring the sea
caves. We enjoy seal colonies and abundant bird life, including
Guillemots, Shags and in the nesting season, Puffins! Then its
time to turn around and reversing the original route, seeing the
coastline from yet another angle.
Watch the sun sink into the sea… from a kayak! We run Evening
Paddles on most summer evenings, to give increased atmosphere
and accentuate what our sea kayak trips have to offer.
See the Calendar
for details of Sea Kayak Trips and Evening Paddles from locations
around the Manx coastline. Typically three hours in duration,
from meeting at the beach 'til returning to the put-in.
Individual and group bookings taken. Discount
available on group bookings.
See gallery for shots of recent trips
and evening paddles.
Full Day Trips
Typically six hours from meeting to finish, including lunch on
a remote beach.
A
typical full day trip could be :
Starting at Peel Castle, we follow a similar route to the above
sea kayak trip! Continuing South past Glenmaye for Lunch at Niarbyl
‘the tail of rocks’ and see the little thatched cottage
and surrounding spectacular coastal views made famous by the film
‘Waking Ned’. Packing away the flasks we get underway,
paddling past the rounded headlands, rocky shores, stacks and
intermittent caves, toward Bradda Head and the Calf of Man.
Arriving at the sandy bay overlooked by Port
Erin and pulling the kayaks up the beach we taste a delicious
Manx Ice Cream from the Parlour by the shore.
‘Classic Adventurous
Experience’
including an overnight camp.
Set off on a late afternoon /
Evening Paddle with all your camping kit safely stowed away in
the kayak’s hatches, taking in the scenery, bird and marine
life, looking out for Porpoises and Dolphins, exploring the hidden
inlets and sea caves. Arrive at a remote beach and set up camp.
Your instructors sort the food and assist with the campfire…
Watch the sun slip into the sea, as you share past experiences
with your group. Breakfast again cooked by us, before packing
up and returning to the put in.
